Senior Investment Manager

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Investment Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will specialize in portfolio management, strategy, and overseeing the structuring and issuance of funds related to structured notes. This is a critical role that will require a strong track record in structured note issuance, in-depth knowledge of portfolio management, and a proven ability to generate innovative investment ideas and solutions for their clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging opportunities for the development of structured investment products.
• Lead the generation of innovative investment ideas, focusing on payout strategies, structured note solutions, and portfolio optimization.
• Conceptualize, design, and manage relevant structures for structured notes, including equity-linked, credit-linked, and other hybrid products.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless creation and issuance of structured products, from the conceptualization stage through to execution and post-issue management.
• Develop and implement portfolio strategies tailored to the unique needs of clients, leveraging structured products and other investment vehicles to meet specific payout goals.
• Continuously monitor portfolio performance, risk levels, and make adjustments based on changing market conditions and client objectives.
• Understand and oversee all internal steps necessary to bring a new note to market, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Work closely with legal, compliance, trading, and risk management teams to ensure smooth execution and launch of new products.
• Engage with clients to understand their objectives and provide innovative solutions that meet their investment goals.
• Present new ideas and structured products to clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their risks, returns, and suitability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external distributors.
• Stay current with market developments, economic trends, and new regulatory changes that could impact structured notes and payout strategies.
• Utilize market insights to inform the development of new products and investment strategies.

Main Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, or a related field. CFA certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Portfolio or Fund Management, with a strong focus on structured products.
• Deep understanding of the structured product lifecycle with experience in structured notes issuance.
• In-depth knowledge of portfolio management techniques, risk management strategies, and the dynamics of structured products.
• Highly analytical with the ability to generate creative and market-relevant investment solutions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and market practices surrounding investment products.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial products to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage internal stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently.
