WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is offering an outstanding career opportunity in one of its highly desirable regions - the Great Southern Region.
This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.
About The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Staff Development Nurse to join our dynamic team in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager – Community Health. In this role, you will provide clinical support, education, and training for community health nurses, ensuring that they have the tools and skills necessary to deliver exceptional care in designated regional clinical areas. Your responsibilities will include orienting new staff, conducting clinical education sessions, and supporting staff competencies, particularly in relation to the community health information system.
You will work closely with the Community Nurse Managers and the Population Health Management team to identify and address the clinical education needs across key strategy areas: early years, public health, and chronic disease. As a local champion for the community health information system, you will play a key role in providing ongoing support for both new and existing nursing staff.
This position offers the chance to actively contribute to the professional development of nursing staff, engage in safety and quality improvement activities, and participate in regional meetings to help shape the future of community health services.
