The Role

Join our dynamic Cypher Runtime team, where we develop and optimize the query execution engine for the database. This role delves deep into the heart of the database, determining the most rapid and effective means of retrieving queried data from the underlying stores.

Responsibilities

As a Cypher Runtime Software Engineer, you will not only enhance and optimize the query runtimes but also contribute to the development of comprehensive features that elevate the capabilities of the Cypher language and the Neo4j database.

In this role you will work with low-level and concurrent programming. Your impact will extend across the codebase, from the parser to the storage files and indexes. You will also have the opportunity to study academic research and potentially incorporate it into the product.

What You'll Bring

• Experience with performance-driven development, e.g. profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing code
• Knowledge in or willingness to learn Scala and Java
