Responsibilities

1. Core Reconciliation Logic Development Design and implement algorithms to match, compare, and reconcile high volumes of data across different sources (e.g., transactions, trades, payments). Develop rules and workflows to identify mismatches, exceptions, and anomalies. Automate data cleansing and transformation to improve reconciliation accuracy.

2. Data Integration and Processing Build connectors and pipelines to integrate data from external systems, APIs, and file formats (e.g., CSV, XML, JSON). Optimize the data ingestion process for real-time and batch processing. Implement validation and transformation logic to standardize incoming data for reconciliation.

3. Backend Development Develop backend services to handle reconciliation logic, exception workflows, and business rules. Use programming languages like Java, Python, or C# to build scalable and maintainable application components. Implement secure APIs to allow external systems to interact with the application.

4. Performance Optimization Optimize application performance for high-volume environments (e.g., millions of transactions). Use indexing, caching, and parallel processing techniques to enhance data reconciliation speed and accuracy. Profile and refactor code to reduce latency and resource consumption.

5. Automation and Exception Handling Automate recurring reconciliation tasks to reduce manual intervention. Implement workflows for exception resolution, including alerts, notifications, and resolution tracking.

6. Security and Compliance Develop secure features to protect sensitive financial data (e.g., encryption, access control). Ensure the application complies with regulatory standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or financial industry-specific guidelines.

7. Integration with SmartStream Products Customize and extend the functionality of SmartStream’s Corona platform, tailoring it to client needs. Ensure seamless integration with other SmartStream solutions (e.g., TLM®).

8. Reporting and Analytics Develop reporting tools to provide detailed insights into reconciliation results, trends, and exception patterns. Integrate analytics to monitor reconciliation performance and highlight areas for improvement.

9. Testing and Debugging Write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure application reliability. Debug and resolve application issues, particularly those related to data mismatches or system integrations.
