Finance Manager – Business process

Job Purpose:

The Finance Manager – Business Process will play a pivotal role in transforming EKFC's financial operations by identifying inefficiencies, automating routine tasks, and optimizing financial workflows. The incumbent will focus on enhancing process efficiency, improving data accuracy, reducing operational costs, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge financial technologies.

Key Result Areas:

1. Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks through in-depth process analysis and improvement planning of the existing financial processes and workflows to simplify and enhance these processes.

2. Streamline routine financial tasks by implementing automation solutions such as accounting software, robotic process automation (RPA), and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to reducing manual intervention and potential errors whilst ensuring seamless technology integration.

3. Ensure seamless integration and consistency of financial data across various systems and departments, enabling real- time access to accurate financial information for informed decision-making.

4. Continuously assess and adopt financial technology solutions that can improve financial operations, reporting, and analytics, staying up to date with technological advancements.

5. Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs by automating routine tasks and reengineering financial processes, while monitoring cost-saving strategies.

6. Develop and implement controls and compliance measures by establishing and enforcing security protocols to safeguard financial data and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

7. Utilize automation and data analytics to improve the accuracy and timeliness of budgeting and financial forecasting processes, incorporating data-driven insights.

8. Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance on best practices in automation and process reengineering including training and knowledge sharing.

9. Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure alignment in achieving automation and process optimization goals, fostering cross-departmental collaboration.

10. Effectively communicate changes, foster buy-in from stakeholders, and manage the transition to automated and reengineered processes, focusing on change management and stakeholder engagement.

11. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, leading the identification and implementation of further improvements, while driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Education Qualification:

a) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent.

b) Professional qualification i.e. ACA, ACCA, CPA etc is preferred.

Work Experience:

a) Minimum 6 years in the area of Finance

b) Lean/Six sigma Green belt.

c) Proven expertise in Business Process Re-engineering.

d) Extensive experience in ERP implementation.
