Job Title: Web3 Research and Strategy Manager

Our Client is one of the most successful Web3 Investment Houses in the Middle East. Due to exciting expansion plans, they are now seeking to add an experienced Web3 Research and Strategy Manager to their growing team.

Role Overview

The Web3 Research and Strategy Manager will play a critical role in identifying high-potential projects and trends within the blockchain ecosystem to capture strategic opportunities for our client. In addition, the role will provide expert advisory on tokenomics for Web3 projects, ensuring sustainable and effective economic models. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Web3 innovations, expertise in tokenomics design, an analytical mindset, and a passion for shaping the future of decentralized technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Research and Opportunity Identification: Conduct comprehensive research on the Web3 landscape, identifying trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts in areas such as DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and Layer 1/2 solutions. Continuously monitor the blockchain ecosystem to identify high-potential projects, protocols, and technologies. Evaluate gaps in the market and propose opportunities for new ventures or strategic investments.

2. Tokenomics Advisory: Provide expert guidance on the design, modeling, and optimization of tokenomics for Web3 projects. Collaborate with project teams to create sustainable token utility and value-capture mechanisms. Ensure alignment between tokenomic models, project goals, and market conditions. Evaluate the impact of tokenomic strategies on user adoption, project scalability, and ecosystem growth. Support the creation of strategic frameworks for new venture launches and partnerships.

3. Project Sourcing and Evaluation: Build and maintain a pipeline of promising Web3 startups, projects, and collaborators. Conduct due diligence on potential projects, assessing technical feasibility, market demand, tokenomics, and growth potential. Provide detailed recommendations to internal stakeholders on high-priority opportunities for incubation or partnership.

4. Strategic Insights and Reporting: Deliver actionable insights through comprehensive reports and presentations. Collaborate with leadership to develop data-driven strategies for venture development and portfolio growth. Present research findings to key stakeholders.

5. Ecosystem Engagement: Build relationships with key players in the blockchain ecosystem, to identify partnership opportunities. Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay ahead of emerging trends.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including product, marketing, and investment teams, to align identified opportunities with studio goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in Web3 market research, strategy, or consulting roles
• Expertise: Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems, including DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, Layer 1/2 solutions, and tokenomics.
• Tokenomics Knowledge: Proven experience in designing, analyzing, and optimizing tokenomic models for Web3 projects.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and their intersections with Web3 (e.g., AI/ML, gaming, or metaverse).
• Proven track record of identifying and capturing market opportunities in the blockchain space.
• Strong project management skills and ability to drive initiatives from research to execution.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to synthesize market data and assess emerging opportunities with a strategic mindset.
• Network: Strong connections within the blockchain and venture capital ecosystems are highly desirable.
