Senior Portfolio and Investment Manager - Crypto

I am working exclusively with a new digital asset management start-up that is establishing in ADGM. I am looking to support their vision by hiring an Senior Portfolio and Investment Manager to support with shaping and optimizing investment strategies, establishing a risk management framework, and aligning operations with the company’s vision from the ground up.

The role is essential for setting up and executing their investment strategy for high-net-worth clients and a Crypto Hedge Fund. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technologies, who can navigate an emerging market, foster client relationships, and build innovative, compliant investment solutions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Strategy Development

• Implement the company’s investment strategy with a focus on cryptocurrency and digital assets.

Establishing Fund Management Processes

• Bring expertise in cryptocurrency markets, DeFi protocols, and tokenomics to establish fund management operations.

Client Relationship Building

• Build a portfolio of high-net-worth clients by offering tailored digital asset investment solutions and insightful market perspectives.

Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance

• Design a comprehensive risk management framework from scratch, focusing on unique digital asset risks such as market volatility, liquidity, and counterparty risk aligning with both UAE and international digital asset regulations, and establishing transparent reporting practices.

Team Building and Development

• Play a pivotal role in building the company’s Investment Team, hiring talent and establishing a culture of innovation, ethical practices, and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in investment management, with at least 5 years in digital asset or cryptocurrency management, hedge funds, or DeFi protocols, ideally within a startup or rapidly scaling environment.
• Expertise: Proven track record in cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and digital asset valuation, with success in building investment strategies and generating returns.
