Our COWI Group IT Data Engineering & Science team in Vilnius is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The mission of the team is to be a “one-stop-shop” for Data Engineering and Data Science solutions, thereby providing all aspects of handling data during the complete lifecycle covering both data engineering and data science.

As our new Senior Data Engineer, you will join our global team and you will report to the Head of Data and Analytics in Denmark. You will be working in close collaboration with our line of business to develop and implement solutions that can both support our organization and create value for our customers.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

• You will stay on the forefront of technology and methods being one of our leading experts within data engineering
• You will play an important role in our software development lifecycle processes together with software engineers and data scientists
• You will build data processing solutions on different data types and for different purposes.
• You will build solutions based on modern tech stack
• You will have the opportunity to work in AI projects and to learn about AI and ML

To succeed in this position, we believe that you should have a high working capacity and be able to deliver quality results under pressure. You have the ability to see the big picture and also understand the importance of detail. You work independently, have analytical skills and are open-minded, dedicated and professional.

Furthermore, you should have:

• Good experience from implementation of data solutions and using data platforms
• Experience with cloud environments preferably Azure alternatively AWS or GCP for data solutions
• Experience with Python and SQL
• Preferably experience with Azure- SQL, Functions, Databricks, Synapse, WebApps and maybe Cognitive Search
• Preferable experience with Airflow, Docker, PySpark, FastAPI and Azure DevOps
• Nice to have experience with Terraform/Bicep, Kubernetes and Helm

Salary for this position starts from 4500 EUR to 6000 EUR before taxes. We believe in your professional capability therefore the final offer will be based on your competencies and experience.
