Job description
We are looking for a talented System Operations Engineer to join our team. This role is a mix of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) responsibilities, aimed at building and supporting business applications while ensuring uptime and system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and configuration management needed for continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement best practices for security, monitoring, and alerting in all aspects of infrastructure and application development.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for production systems.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in system operations, with a focus on DevOps and SRE practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, in particular AWS.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Dynatrace, etc.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
- Experience with enterprise architecture and distributed systems.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
