Frontend Developer

Confero is hiring a Frontend Engineer for a Legal AI Startup who will use their skills in React, JavaScript/TypeScript skills to scale their product, alongside a small team.

The Startup aims to revolutionize the legal industry through AI - streamlining legal operations, such as document analysis and case strategy planning. The business is headed up by two Founders with PhDs from Cornell who are looking to take the company to the next level.

The Startup is going through high-scale growth, and for you, this means plenty of impressive progression opportunities.

Their office is based in New York, with a salary of up to $200k Base for the right Engineer. Whilst there is remote flex, you must be happy to attend the New York office throughout the week.

Typically, the interview process is street stages, including conversations with the Foudner and technical interviews.

Essential:

• Previous experience working in a Startup (ideally high growth)
• Strong React experience/significant experience in frontend engineering (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Ability to design and implement complex, user-friendly interfaces
• Experience working with design systems like Material-UI, shadcn (or similar)
• Experience with data structures, frontend frameworks, and web technologies

Role:

You'll be expected to develop powerful AI tools, helping users tailor applications to their legal needs, including architecting interfaces and managing state/designing APIs. Your work will support data-heavy, mission-critical workflows, working closely with legal practitioners and product teams to refine features, ensuring the platform is powerful and user-friendly.

Role responsibilities

• Architect and build data-intensive, unique, and scalable user interfaces
• Design/develop interactive workflows tailored for legal professionals.
• Create low-code/no-code tools to enable legal teams to build customized applications
• Contribute to shared frontend tooling
• Work in tune with the Backend Engineers to define and integrate APIs that power the frontend
