Backend Developer (Golang)

Key Responsibilities

  • Golang Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Golang.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while adhering to best practices.
  • System Migration:
  • Collaborate on the migration of a legacy Ruby on Rails automation system to Golang.
  • Optimize the migration process to ensure minimal disruptions to existing systems.
  • Scalability and Integration:
  • Build efficient, scalable, and secure backend systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend functionalities with front-end solutions and third-party APIs.
  • Polyglot Development:
  • Work across technologies such as Python, Java, or other backend frameworks when required.
  • Code Quality and Peer Reviews:
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Continuously improve code quality, system efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product managers, DevOps, and front-end engineers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
  • Actively participate in technical discussions, brainstorms, and reviews to align with business goals.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Golang for backend development.
  • Solid understanding of backend development principles, modern architectures, and API integration.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience working on projects from scratch and deploying end-to-end solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address technical challenges effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in additional technologies such as Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments like AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.
