Senior Software Engineer - Android

What you'll bring

BS/MS in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience- 5+ years of experience in Android development- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior developers- Expertise in Kotlin and other Android frameworks- Strong understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools- Excellent communication and collaboration skills- Passionate about staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Androiddevelopment.

How you will lead

Leading and mentoring junior developers in the team- Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, project & test planning- Designing/developing Android mobile apps, prototypes and Proof of concepts (POC’s)- Applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems- Roughly 95% hands-on coding- Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches- Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various productlines, or business units to drive forward results- Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies- Identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the project lifecycle- Designing reusable components and frameworks- Actively participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers- Experience with performance optimization and tuning of applications- Working closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions- Contributing to the design and architecture of the project- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies- Passionate about staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Androiddevelopment.
