Security Operations Center Analyst

I am hiring a Senior Defensive Security Specialist on behalf of a global leader in the industry, specialising in providing innovative solutions and services across diverse sectors. In this role you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the establishment and ongoing development of a Security Operations Center (SOC)

• Incident Response

• Plan and implement preventative measures to mitigate cyber attacks.

• Conduct analysis and evaluation of security incidents using central security platforms (threat hunting).

• Monitor and detect attacks or abnormalities in system behaviour, initiating suitable countermeasures as needed.

• Develop strategies for containing and defending against cyber threats

• Consulting customers on your findings

This role is remote from anywhere in Germany.

Essential:

• Several years professional experience in defensive security

• Professional experience working as a security analyst

• Incident response experience

• Strong knowledge of SIEM Tools

• Minimum C1 level German or above with a good knowledge of English

Desirable:

• Experience with programming languages e.g. Python, JavaScript etc.

• Relevant certifications from entities such as GIAC and SANS.
