We have partnered with a software company in Dublin who are expanding their operations in Ireland and are looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist to join the team.


This is a great opportunity for someone to join an organisation where you can make a real impact on the data journey and become instrumental in influencing future business decisions.


I've a budget up to €80,000 to work with on this role.


They want someone who can help leverage their data to create actionable insights, informative reports and dashboards, and predictive machine learning and AI models to drive enhancements to their product offerings.


The preferred candidate will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data using statistical, mathematical, and logical operations to discover patterns, trends, and insights, and being able to communicate their meanings, significant and implications to stakeholder and customers via reports, visualisations, and presentations.


The data analyst / scientist will use machine learning and AI modelling to learn from data and predict future events that can enhance our solutions. We are looking for someone with an inventive mind, strong technical knowledge, and skills, as well as the ability to clearly communicate with a range of stakeholders, who can help the company get the most value from its data.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining analytics, data mining and machine learning systems to solve business problems and enhance our solutions.
  • Work with the product team and other stakeholders to understand requirements for data analytics, data reporting and predictive machine learning solutions.
  • Applying analytical techniques to discover patterns, trends, opportunities, and actionable insights in complex datasets.
  • Communicating the findings to stakeholders and customers via reports, rich visualisations and dashboards, and presentations.
  • Applying machine learning and AI modelling to predict future events and trends that can be used to add value to our product offerings and solve problems for our customers.
  • Ensuring our data analytics solutions are performant, scalable, cost effective, reliable, secure, and fit for purpose.
  • Ensuring data quality by data cleaning, and identifying errors and inconsistencies in data, removing them, and improving data accuracy and reliability.


Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Data Analyst/Scientist with SQL, Python, and relational database expertise.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, data technologies, and data visualization/BI tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and creative solution abilities.
  • Experience with data mining, Agile development, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, self-motivated, and collaborative with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptable, initiative-driven, and up-to-date with evolving tech trends.
  • Relevant degree in a related discipline.
