Technical Lead - Stockholm - Product Development

Our client is seeking a Technical Lead with proven experience in building products used by millions of consumers or small businesses. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for an innovative merchandising app designed for fashion and lifestyle merchants, ensuring a seamless, pixel-perfect user experience.

Working closely with product and design teams, you’ll play a hands-on role in building and promoting the product while leading a core team of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Drive the passion and ambition of the engineering team
• Be a proactive leader by promoting ideas.
• Align technical, merchant, product and business needs.
• Set and implement the company's technical vision, direction, and standards.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement across tech/process/people.
• Lead, motivate, and coach performance/feedback to build a lovable product that sells.
• Make daily decisions & tradeoffs between speed/quality to find the best solutions.
• Determine different solutions for different situations: e.g. features, and platforms.

Requirements

• Experience with consumer-facing, product-led growth and distribution.
• Experience being product-minded and how to evolve a product in line with the business goals and customer needs.
• Strong understanding of UX.
• Experience with their stack: a React/Typescript Frontend and a modern Python (fast API) backend. Infrastructure runs on Kubernetes in GCP with ArgoCD.
• Experience in B2C / B2B SaaS
• Ideally experience in an Editor-type product: customisable/creative
• Able to create a forward vision about what AI can do from both a development and feature point of view.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills: the ability to listen, align, and challenge to build a high-trust, high-performance team even without a direct report line.
• Entrepreneurial, and at times hacker-mindset, able to manage through uncertainty and reduce complexity
• Passionate about their impact and able to motivate others.
