Senior Data Platform Engineer- $150,000-$175,000 + bonus!

This company is at the forefront of technology and data analytic, driving innovation in the financial sector. You’d be joining their data & analytics team where you will work with cutting-edge tools and platforms, face complex challenges, and contribute to groundbreaking initiatives that shape the future of finance.

You’ll play a crucial role in the development and implementation of their data platform. In this role, you’ll be partnering with key stakeholders, learning and understanding the business drivers, and focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data processing pipelines to support their organization’s data needs and advancing their capabilities pertaining to data engineering, BI, AI, and ML. You’ll be working on a hybrid model and should expect to work on-site at their headquarters in Toronto 3 days per week.

In terms of your experience, you’ll need to be strong with on-premise Spark clusters using PySpark or Scala. Additionally, you’ll need expertise with optimizing Apache Spark data processing and deep understanding of big data concepts and implementation patterns. You’ll work building large-scale batch and event-driven data pipelines using cloud and on-premises hybrid data platform topology. If you’re experienced with OpenShift, S3, Trino, Ranger, or Hive that would also be beneficial.

Salary: $150,000-$175,000 + yearly bonus
