Role Title : Int/Sr Technical Infrastructure Consultant

6 months contract onsite

Rate: $50-65/hr incorporated

1. Project: Backup System (replacing/configuring) with Veeam (with Datto expertise being desirable)

1. Project: Server Room reconfiguration:

Electrical redesign, rearchitecting to include high availability/resiliency, with analysis of the current state

• Network redesign, rearchitecting, with analysis including the current flow… vLANs and high-availability/resiliency, including WiFi with mesh & guest
• Rack reconfiguration (un/re-Rack) to new & existing
• Active Electrical reconfiguration
• Active Network & Switch reconfiguration & rewiring (Aruba/HPE)

Firewalls (Edge, WAN with High Availability): including service object & WAN VPN configuration requirements (SonicWall)

1. Project: Hosts (Servers, SANs): updating firmware and related networked connectivity (IBM, DELL)
2. Project: Platforms (VMware 5.5, VMware 6.5, VMWare 8.x, w/SANs): Reconfiguring to appropriate deployment topology with methodical updating, migrations/consolidations inc. vMotion, and final reconfigurations (with high availability), including decommissions of 5.5 & 6.5. utilizing VMware PowerCLI skills where applicable. Analysis & solutioning of systems from absorbed/integrated organizations required.
3. Project: Monitoring Solution: configurating & populating hosts & endpoints with agents, SNMP, WMI, certs, (potentially Zabbix)
4. Project: Security hardening where related to the aforementioned
5. Project: Technical Writing, with documentation where applicable through out the process of the aforementioned (change, as-built, disaster recovery)

Highly desirable expertise in services:

DHCP: scope realignment

• DNS: internal forest/domain, static, stale, cleanup, certificates
• AD/AAD (Entra): Analysis, AD structure & clean up, and Azure sync
• IAM (Identity Access Management): AD/AAD for middleware, service managed accounts)

Security related hardening

1. Nice to have expertise and minimally a required working understanding of:

SIEM ingestion, in the context of Event Monitoring ingestion, for the purposes of Security Information Event Management (SIEM) monitoring

RBAC (Role Based Access Control)

AD Forest

Ability to work well co-architecting solutions
