Front End Engineer

Motion Recruitment is partnered with a leading global Aussie brand across a front end engineer contract role. The role will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-level applications. It will be focused around enhancing system performance to deliver exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust front-end applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Embed and promote best practices in software development within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Advocate for secure, performant, and scalable software design principles.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and drive their adoption within the team.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean software development practices, as well as the SDLC.
• Proficiency with version control tools like Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Extensive experience in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, React JS, SSR, Micro Front Ends, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Next.js and Node.js.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to research and troubleshoot complex bugs and performance issues.
• Strong understanding of security principles, performance optimization, and data privacy.
• Exceptional communication skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• A problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
• Familiarity with observability tools like DataDog would be highly ideal.

The role is a 6 month contract to start off, with high opportunity for further ongoing extension. It is a day rate contract at $750 - $800 incl. Super per day based in Sydney working 2-3 days in the office. Ideal candidates will have full working rights in Australia, Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
