Engineer (f/m/d) – Shape the Future of Medical Technology


Your Role

As an Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of state-of-the-art laboratory devices and analytical instruments. The scope of your responsibilities will be adapted to your expertise, allowing you to focus on the areas where you excel. Your tasks may include:


Product Development:

  • Conceptualizing, developing, and refining laboratory devices, integrating mechanical, electronic, and firmware components
  • Preparing designs, concepts, and technical documentation


Firmware and Embedded Software Development (if applicable):

  • Designing, coding, and optimizing embedded software for laboratory devices
  • Developing, testing, and improving firmware for existing and new products
  • Collaborating on system architecture and ensuring seamless integration with hardware


Electronics Development (if applicable):

  • Prototyping analog and digital circuits, including PCB layout design
  • Conducting verification and EMC measurements, and developing test concepts


Mechanical Design and Prototyping (if applicable):

  • Creating mechanical concepts and detailed designs
  • Supporting rapid prototyping and iterative testing processes


Prototyping and Production:

  • Developing production documentation and overseeing the transition from prototype to serial production
  • Collaborating with production teams to resolve technical challenges


Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:

  • Working closely with experts in mechanics, software, optics, electronics, and motion control
  • Coordinating with suppliers and external partners to ensure technical requirements are met


Your Profile

Our client is seeking an Engineer with the following qualifications and skills:

  • A degree (HTL, Bachelor, or Master) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Electronics
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the following areas:

- Precision engineering and/or mechanical design

- Embedded software programming

- Electronic circuit development and EMC-compliant design

  • Familiarity with 3D-CAD tools (PTC Creo, PTCW Windchill PDM Link) and 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA) is a plus
  • Programming skills (C, C#, C++, Linux) are an advantage
  • Fluency in English is essential; German language skills are a bonus

For this position, the minimum annual gross salary according to the collective agreement is €59.015,46 based on full-time employment. However, the client is open to offer a higher salary depending on your qualifications and experience. I’d be happy to discuss your expectations!
