Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, you will actively participate in Repligen's R&D activities, focusing on the selection and testing of industrial and pharmaceutical devices and equipment, as well as system design with a focus on automation. You are a valued member of our global organization and an integral part of our Electricals & Controls (E&C) team.

Responsibilities

As Automation Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

• Configure and test Systems that come out of production, in such a way that the following Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) can be executed without problems. Contribute to automating these activities as much as possible.
• Help design high-quality Automation & Controls solutions, mostly for, but not limited to pharmaceutical machines on the basis of user requirement specifications and/or requests for quotations.
• Search for, help choose, analyze, and integrate new suitable components, instruments, sensors, actuators, tools, and equipment for efficient execution of projects.
• Test and characterize devices, instruments, and systems. Compare actual test results with manufacturer specifications. Generate well-written, standardized reports detailing the tests performed, suitable for use by colleagues and customers requesting detailed test data.
  
  

Qualifications

The successful Automation Engineer meets the following requirement:

• Good understanding of laboratory-equipment and/or appliances design
• Good understanding of industrial automation design and best practices, including PLC programming, visualization, data acquisition, and field bus communication.
• Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles & processes
• Positive, Proactive & Problem-Solving Mindset and work in a collaborative way with teams and colleagues.
