Summer Trainee, Cyber Security

Job Description
Danfoss Drives Software Platform Team is looking for Summer Trainee, Cyber Security over the summer at one of our locations in Finland: Vaasa, Tampere or Helsinki.
The Software Platform team delivers the core software for Danfoss's next-generation iC7 intelligent drives. As a trainee, you'll be part of an agile development team, contributing your skills and directly impacting the development of product. You will work within a global team of experts across diverse areas such as test automation, modern C++, C, FPGA, and power conversion control. Job Responsibilities
If you take this exciting challenge to join us as our Summer Trainee, Cyber Security, your tasks might include: 

• Study different commercial embedded crypto libraries and their suitability for highly resource limited embedded system environment
• Test the different libraries in a desktop environment (Linux or Windows) and compare them against an existing solution
• Document the findings and present to others in the team
  
  

Background & Skills
For you to rock in this position, you should have completed at least 3 years of M.Sc. or B.Sc. studies in an appropriate engineering science (Software engineering, Cyber Security, etc, preferably focused on cryptography / security). Mastering C++ programming language is a must. No prior experience of embedded development is required but is seen an advantage. This work could even be extended into a thesis work, e.g. M.Sc.

We expect you to have a good command of English and/or Finnish. Additionally, you are a team player who can take initiative, and you are eager to develop your skills, professionally and personally.
