Junior OT Cyber Security Officer

As a Junior OT Cybersecurity Specialist you will support the protection of industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments. You will assist in implementing security measures for manufacturing lines, conveyors, and industrial machinery, gaining hands-on experience in securing critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Cybersecurity Efforts: Assist in implementing and managing security solutions for OT environments, including SCADA, DCS, and IIoT systems.
• Risk Assessments: Conduct basic assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in industrial systems under guidance.
• Incident Monitoring: Help monitor and respond to security events within ICS environments.
• Documentation: Maintain records of security measures, incidents, and protocols to ensure compliance.
• Collaboration: Work with senior team members, IT staff, and operations teams to support secure operations.
• Training Participation: Learn and apply OT cybersecurity best practices through on-the-job training and mentorship.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in Automation, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• Exposure to cybersecurity principles, with a keen interest in OT/ICS security.
• Familiarity with basic industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP or OPC (through coursework or internships).

Technical Knowledge:

• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (networking, firewalls, or encryption).
• Awareness of OT security standards like IEC 62443 or NIST SP 800-82 (training will be provided).

Preferred Qualifications

• Internships or academic projects related to OT/ICS security.
• Certifications or training in cybersecurity basics (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or similar).

Salary:

• 35,000 - 40,000 EUR per Anum
