As a Medior/Senior Front-End Developer, you will be a key player in developing and maintaining scalable web applications. Your responsibilities will include:
Working environment
Our department primarily focuses on business clients, including freelancers, SMEs, and large corporate clients. Within our Digital Channels Business & Wealth department, we have various 'feature' teams working on web applications to serve our clients through online portals. We enhance the capabilities to ensure they can manage their banking independently, such as making business payments, updating their business structures, or subscribing to new services.
The feature team you will be part of is a multi-disciplinary team, including developers, testers, business analysts, designers, and a product owner. In addition to being part of this team, you will also join a chapter of Front-end developers. Within this chapter, you will coach each other and work on the development of standards and methods of development within your discipline. Your Chapter Lead will support you in setting and achieving your goals. Our office days are on Thursday, we aim to work at the office at the Gustav Mahlerlaan twice a week.

Your job

- Implementing responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes to maintain a high standard of code quality.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product owners, and developers, to develop and maintain scalable web applications.
- Mentoring junior developers and providing guidance to elevate the team's proficiency.
- Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and integrating them into projects where applicable.

Your profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with extensive experience in frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js preferred.
- Experience with testing frameworks, with knowledge of Vitest and Playwright being a plus.
- Proficiency in using version control systems, particularly Git.
- Proven track record of delivering reliable and efficient web applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in mentoring junior developers.
- A passion for front-end development and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

- 25 vacation days based on 40 hours (with the possibility to buy more vacation days)
- Would you like a longer break? Then you can take a 1-to-6-month sabbatical, of which for the first 3 months you’ll receive 40% pay.
- Benefit budget of 11% (of your salary). You can decide how you want this to be paid out. For example, as extra holiday allowances, a lease bike, mobile phone, or as salary
