We are looking for a Backend Developer with a strong foundation in building scalable and reliable backend systems and a keen eye for ensuring code quality and system robustness through testing. While your primary focus will be backend development, some of the responsibilities will involve implementing and maintaining testing strategies to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Your mission will be…

• Develop and maintain backend systems by designing and implementing RESTful APIs with Node.js, ensuring high performance and scalability;
• Implement and maintain comprehensive testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests;
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and migrations for PostgreSQL to ensure performance and reliability;
• Conduct performance testing to optimize application responsiveness and reliability;
• Provide input on testability when designing new features and services;
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  
  

We are looking for someone with…

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or relevant information technology area;
• At least 3 years of professional experience with NodeJS;
• Hands-on experience with SQL, including testing database interactions and ensuring data integrity;
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks;
• Experienced working with REST APIs;
• Familiarity with AWS and testing cloud-based applications and services;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices;
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Customer and quality focus;
• Be able to pick up knowledge in new areas very fast;
• Fluency in English;
• Good communication skills and ability to work with a multitude of different stakeholders and clients;
• Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team.
