Husqvarna Group, a global leader in innovative products and solutions, is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s IT landscape. The CISO/Director will be responsible for driving and executing Husqvarna’s information security strategy, ensuring that the company maintains robust security practices to protect its global operations and reputation.


As CISO/Director, you will play a pivotal role ensuring the continued security and compliance of the IT environment while safeguarding the company’s operations and reputation. As CISO you report to both Audit Committee and the Information Security Committee where you also have an active role in leading the meetings.


Besides the formal role as CISO, you serve as the Information Security Director with a solid reporting line to the VP of Shared IT Services and IT Security. The preference is for the position to be based in Sweden at one of Husqvarna's sites/offices in Stockholm (HQ), Huskvarna/Jönköping, Jonsered/Gothenburg or Malmö. The role requires some international travel.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and update the group’s information security strategy and roadmap aligned with both Group and Global Information Services (Group IT).
  2. Lead and oversee information security improvement programs and projects aligned with the Information Security strategy.
  3. Ensure Husqvarna's Information Security Management System (ISMS) is effective and compliant with standards, regulations, and frameworks.
  4. Conduct ongoing threat analysis on information and cybersecurity risks, adjusting protective measures accordingly.
  5. Manage and develop the team with performance reviews and career development.
  6. Provide knowledge and support to Group IT, including audit follow-ups.
  7. Lead and oversee the delivery of operational cyber- and IT-security services, such as Security Operations Center, Security Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint security, Identity & Access Management operations etc.
  8. Ensure the IT General Control framework aligns with policy and is effectively performed.
  9. Manage budget, financial follow-up, and purchase requisitions for the team’s cost center.


What We’re Looking For

Husqvarna Group is looking for a senior leader with a proven track record in information security management within a large, international organization. You most probably have experience in overseeing information security functions across diverse global units, demonstrating an ability to align security strategies with business goals. Having a solid understanding of IT security challenges in industrial sectors, particularly within the context of Manufacturing OT, is a strong advantage.

We see that you have an academic degree in a relevant field for the role, or similar relevant experience. Fluency in English is a requirement; knowledge of other languages is considered a plus.


To succeed in this role, we believe you will have strong analytical skills to define and drive a clear strategy and plan, combined with good judgment and excellent communication abilities. High energy, a deep interest in the business, and strong interpersonal skills are key.
