Join our multi-disciplinary design team, led by our Principal Design Lead which supports the Digital Loans Origination team. The teams are responsible for envisioning and delivering industry leading digital experiences for our customers who are taking an exciting step in their lives of buying a home. You’ll work closely and partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Tech lead and Engineers who make up our Agile squads to deliver the best user experience for our customers, helping Macquarie achieve our goal of becoming the #1 Digital Bank.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will define and develop the overarching Information Architecture, conduct needs, and task analysis and play an instrumental part in strengthening our design capabilities, as you foster a culture of collaboration and development within the Digital Loans Origination design team.

You will take ownership of the end-to-end design process in this pivotal role and work autonomously, facilitate the co-creation and implementation of exceptional platform experiences and be a visionary who can design innovative and intuitive solutions that tackle complex scenarios that with our vision, objectives, and key results. You will advocate for the customer as you refine solutions and create prototypes or mock-ups for testing and validation.

Figma will enable you to rapidly iterate on designs and produce high-fidelity artefacts. In partnership with the Director of Product and Design Lead, you will have the opportunity to develop a north star vision for industry-leading experiences.

What You Offer

  • 5-8+ years’ of experience as a UX and UI Designer or Product Designer including experience conducting UX research
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your UX and UI or Product Design experience
  • Thrive in a collaborative team and have strong verbal and written communication skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience in shipped digital products
  • End-to-end experience of managing design activities across the user-centred design process including design research skills, iterative design and prototyping and facilitation of experimentation and usability testing
  • You are a passionate design advocate, committed to best practice and sharing ideas and inspiration within the team
  • A problem solver who loves big challenges, tackles them using a collaborative workflow, with the client front of mind.

This design function at Macquarie helps envision and deliver how customers experience our various products and services across multiple digital channels. We span across the full design spectrum, from early-stage conceptual design and research to delivering pixel-perfect interfaces on our digital platforms.
