Cloud Customer Engineer

Job Description:

• We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Customer Engineer - Data to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales of Google Cloud data solutions by providing technical expertise and support during the presales process. You will work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, design effective solutions, and demonstrate the value of our GCP-based data products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and develop tailored data and analytics solutions using GCP technologies and Looker.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops to showcase the capabilities of GCP dataservices (BigQuery, Dataflow, Datastream, CDC,Cloud, Composer, Data Fusion, Pub/Sub, etc.) and Looker for business intelligence and analytics.
• Design and propose data architectures, analytics models, and dashboards that align with customer businessobjectives and technical requirements.
• Develop and present proof-of-concepts that include GCP data solutions to validate technical solutions and demonstrate their value.
• Assist in responding to RFPs and creating detailed technical proposals that emphasize the value of our GCP based solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition from presales to post- sales deliveryfor data and analytics solutions.

Experience:

• 10+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or related fields, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with GCP or other hyperscalers.
• Strong understanding and background of GCP data services, including BigQuery,Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Looker, Cloud Storage, and their applications in real-world use cases.
• Previous hands-on experience with competing platforms like AWS,Snowflake, Azure,Cloudera, or Apache Hadoop.
• Proven expertise in designing and architecting data pipelines, large-scale data processing, and analytics solutions.
• Experience in solution design and architecture for large-scale data processing, analytics, and visualization projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipeline design.

Skills and Certifications:

• GCP certifications such as Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
• Certifications in AWS, Snowflake, or Azure Data platforms are a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, or other data engineering languages is a plus.
