Primary Purpose Of Job

A Senior Data Analytics / Data Scientist will demonstrate to the business how to extract value from data, empowering better

decision-making across the organization.

Transform raw data into clear insights using statistical methods and data visualization tools. Delve deeper, building complex

models and leveraging machine learning to solve problems and predict future trends within the data.

Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Focus on the user experience to design interactive dashboards with strong understanding of business context and data

following the industry and QatarEnergy best practices.

Experience & Skills

• 8 years proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or in a similar role, an Oil and Gas industry experience is a
  
  

plus.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Possess a strong understanding of data interpretation, and the ability to effectively represent data using appropriate
  
  

visualization techniques to deliver actionable insights.

• Good knowledge of statistics and storytelling with data.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets, including complex joins, subqueries, and performance tuning.
• Excellent capability to identify machine learning opportunities with measurable consumer and business benefit.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Expertise and hands on experience in using machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow,
  
  

PyTorch).

• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques.
• Exposure and familiarity with cloud-based data analytical solutions such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  

Education

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information science, or related field; master’s degree preferred
