Are you a seasoned Senior Network Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technologies and high-impact projects? Hamilton Barnes are representing a prestigious European institution to design and optimise state-of-the-art network infrastructures. This contract role, based in Brussels, offers the chance to work on a long-term project with some of the most advanced networking solutions available today.

What You'll Be Doing:

You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing high-availability, scalable network architectures across data centers. From managing ISP multi-homing with BGP to deploying Cisco ASR routers and Nexus 9000 switches, you’ll ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leveraging BGP and OSPF to design robust routing solutions.
• Working with Cisco ACI or VMware NSX to deliver modern SDN solutions.
• Automating network tasks using tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and troubleshoot network solutions.
• Ensuring seamless integration and automation through API-based technologies like REST API.

What We're Looking For:

We’re searching for a network expert with:

• A CCIE Certification (SP, DC, or Security) – active or expired.
• Strong Service Provider experience with IOS-XE and NX-OS.
• Deep expertise in Cisco ASR routers and Nexus 9000 switches.
• Proven knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Experience with SDN platforms, specifically Cisco ACI or VMware NSX.
• Familiarity with network security tools like Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and FortiGate.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.

Contract Details:

• 12-month contract with multiple extensions planned – Long term project
• Hybrid onsite requirement – 2 days per week on site in state-of-the-art office in Brussels!
• Day rate – up to €525 Per Day!
