Senior Product Designer

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Helsinki-based team. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll work closely with a product development team and product managers, as well as other designers in the company to create new experiences for our end-users.

We’ve created a unique twist to traditional Security Awareness Training. Our platform is “serious gaming”: part game, part education, part simulation. This unique combination makes Hoxhunt a training platform users love to engage with. But it also brings with it a tough set of design challenges that we hope you can help us solve. For example, how do we onboard new users and teach them the basics but simultaneously how to keep things fresh and interesting for experienced users? How do we provide enough tools and control to the Security Awareness Managers, while keeping everything positive, encouraging and engaging for the end-user while simultaneously pleasing the eye? That is where we need you.

The salary band for this role is 5500 - 6000€, but we are open to negotiate based on your relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely together with the product managers to define and scope problems-worth-solving
• Explore solutions and create high-fidelity UI designs and clickable mockups.
• Validate solution candidates both internally but also with customers and end-users.
• Work in lock-step with the developers to ensure that the team can launch solutions we are immensely proud of.
• Collect feedback and assess the impact for continuous improvement.
• Partake in inter-team peer-review and and sparring sessions with other designers
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years experience working as a product designer
• Proficiency in Figma
• Strong interaction and visual design skills - experience creating end-user delighting digital products from start to finish to large number of end-users.
• Illustration skills
• Experience in prototyping user flows and customer testing
• Comfortable to take on vague challenges and pull context proactively to clarify them into concise solutions
• Comfortable with utilizing and contributing to design systems
• A portfolio with examples of your work you can present to us
  
  

Extra points for

• Ability to craft game-like Illustrations
• Previous expertise in engagement/gamification design and/or pedagogy
• Design thinking (divergence, convergence)
  
  

Our Process

The application period is January 3rd to January 26th, 2025. We will start interviewing during the application period.

Our recruitment process is:

• Initial call with Talent Acquisition (20min on the phone).
• Interview with Sr Product Designer Kristyna and Group PM Ilmari (45min remote).
• Case completion independently (3 hours) and panel interview (90min onsite).
• Last call with co-founder & CTO Pyry and VP of Product Kosti (30min remote).
