Senior Software Engineer – 12-Month Contract (Potential for Renewal)

Role Overview:

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

• Develop applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Create Java-based applications with Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with Business/Systems Analysts and Quality Engineers in a Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) environment.
• Leverage advanced data storage techniques, including Hadoop, Snowflake, and MongoDB.
• Design and build Microservices in a cloud-based environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working on large-scale production systems with high transaction volumes.
• Proven troubleshooting skills to proactively identify and prevent issues.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or Chef.
• Proficiency in code coverage and health reporting tools like Sonar.
• Expertise in code reviews and mentoring team members.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of advanced authentication techniques for mobile and web platforms.
• Experience with Web Services (REST/XML) and J2EE Web Applications/Web Services using JBoss or WebSphere.
• Advanced skills in Spring Framework.
• Cloud development experience with PCF, AWS, or Azure.
• Proven experience developing Microservices in cloud-based environments.
• Ability to innovate and develop creative solutions for complex design problems.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns for high-performance, high-availability systems and multi-tiered web applications.
• Experience integrating vendor and open-source products into comprehensive systems.
