DevOps Data Engineer (Data Warehouse)

The product and team:

You will play an active and crucial role in providing all our data within our Swisscom Data Warehouse (SDW). Together with the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and ability of the SDW and support the development teams with tests, rollouts and any challenges that arise. The vision of the team is to empower users through your support and streamline operations with advanced automation, fostering an environment of efficiency, autonomy, and innovation.

As a DevOps Engineer you will:

• Operate a platform based on Teradata as a warehouse and Automic as an orchestration and processing engine
• Advice teams on best warehouse practices - performance, security
• Develop and operate our data ingestion platform based on Airbyte
• Develop and operate automation frameworks using shell scripts, Python, etc.
• Improve the observability of the system

Job requirements

• Working experience on Large scale Data Warehouse environment (3NF, SCD, ETL, ELT)
• Capable on analyzing and debugging SQL queries, shell scripts, Python (Teradata, Oracle)
• Experience on job orchestration tools (like Automic)
• Experience on ETL tools (like Informatica Power Center)
• Collaborating with an international and geographically distributed team, embracing cultural diversity, and engaging with different stakeholders
• Good English
