Job Title: Backend Engineer

Duration: 7 Months

Location: Amsterdam, NL (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our team and help scale our solution globally.

The solution is composed of several Java microservices developed using different technologies, but all of them are containerized.

These services expose REST and Async APIs and have critical SLAs as they support Fulfillment & Core Services operations like Billing & Settlement and Workorder management.

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience, preferrable with Quarkus, but Spring Boot is also fine. Previous experience working with systems integration via API or event stream is a heavy plus.

We expect the candidate to have experience with JPA/Panache, Mapstruct, RestEasy, OpenAPI spec, OAuth and Database modelling and would be very much appreciated if they also have experience with DDD and SOLID principles (Clean Architecture) with some practical Production examples.

Bonus: previous experience with BPMN or DMN is an important bonus

In the soft skills side, we are looking for someone with effective communication, focused on getting things working for the clients/users and, most important, opened to changes and letting go when needed.
