We are expanding our development team and we are looking for someone passionate about programming, software products, and development and eager to learn about aviation.

We are looking for:

• Backend developer (main technologies: PHP [Laravel], Typescript)

Key data for you to consider:

• 2500-4500 GBP per month, depending on role fit and experience level according to our internal standards
• Yearly profit share
• Various performance and behaviour-based bonuses
• In-office or hybrid (partial office & partial remote)
• Office location: Cluj-Napoca
• Contract based on SRL or PFA with our UK entity
• Paid holidays

Ideal candidates for this developer role must have:

• Background in writing good and reliable applications
• An appetite for technology and for delivering quality software products
• Curious about the business and the uses of development work
• A passion for building strong & qualitative software products using up-to-date tools and best practices from a technical point of view.

Responsibilities:

• Produce & document quality code
• Follow coding best practices, i.e. leave code better than you find it & write unit tests
• Perform code review according to our internal checklist
• Work on assigned user stories
• Debug and resolve technical issues
• Follow-up on implemented solutions
• Understand the team’s product strategy

Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of work experience in software engineering. Experience with other technologies or another framework (frontend, backend, full stack) is appreciated.
• Relevant education and/or certifications in Computer Science
• A solid and in-depth understanding of the full lifecycle of web application development processes (from the layout/user interface to database structures)
• Understanding how data is stored, and how to write and query that data. For example, using MongoDB in backend, or GraphQL in frontend
• General knowledge of open-source software packages
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Romanian
• Interested in and/or provides solutions in the architecture design process
• Refining the development process and keeping the development process up to date
• Interested in developing skills in new technologies

Our recruitment process

We will use a three-step process for the recruitment of this role:

• An initial exercise will be sent out to the candidates selected for this step (this step is optional for highly qualified candidates)
• An interview with the recruitment team (partially technical)
• A final technical presentation of a project after we review the content from previous phases, between the candidate and the team.
