Scope of role:

Lead and manage project-related design activities within an ePowertrain System development.


Responsibilities:

Lead and manage project-related design activities within an ePowertrain System development:

  • Coordinate a program design team within a product development -
  • Be the main contact person, representing the program design team -
  • Host internal, cross functional, supplier and customer meetings to understand and define design tasks
  • Provide an adequate tracking of the design development through all development phases - Audit and review the design development data before product production
  • Support design optimizations based on the output from the physical assembly, testing and manufacturing 2 Design and layout of ePowertrain systems, its sub-assemblies and components.
  • Update and maintenance of ePowertrain systems through all product development phases.
  • Specify required models & drawings in detail for prototype & production level designs, considering appropriate assembly and manufacturing requirements.
  • Apply design standards (DIN, ISO, customer standards) including modeling methodology, with strong emphasis on data accuracy and data quality. Support an internal design standardization.
  • Set up complex tolerance chain analysis. Investigation of weight, balance point, mass inertia etc.
  • Prepare accompanying documentation: System Assembly instruction, Customer handling instruction etc
  • Lead, create and review assembly- and component- design FMEA’s. Support PFMEA’s. Identify and specify critical and significant characteristics in agreement with customer application, Manufacturing Engineers and Customer
  • Apply an adequate data storage via PDM (Program Data Management).
  • Support generic design developments.
  • Work as part of customer team to carry out activities to reduce internal and external costs (VA/VE).



Knowledge/skills:


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related filed of activity
  • >5 years professional experience in Mechanical Powertrain System Development
  • CAD tool experience (Creo Parametrics, Catia, NX …)
