The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Master Data Specialist to manage and maintain critical accounting-related master data in SAP Nessie. This role focuses on creating and maintaining General Ledger (GL) accounts, fixed assets, and customer master data to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and support seamless financial operations across the organization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update General Ledger (GL) accounts, fixed assets, and customer master data in SAP Nessie.
- Ensure that master data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date in compliance with internal standards and external regulations; Implement and monitor data governance processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the transition of process knowledge by organizing and conducting dedicated training sessions for internal and cross-functional teams; Act as a subject matter expert to ensure seamless knowledge transfer during onboarding, handovers, or process changes.
- Document and standardize processes through the creation of detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support consistent execution and scalability.
- Work closely with Finance, Controlling, and Project Management teams to ensure master data requirements are met; Liaise with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related discrepancies and issues; Perform regular audits of master data to identify inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
- Provide input on system enhancements and participate in testing during SAP upgrades or modifications; Generate reports and insights based on master data to support business decisions.
Who Are We Looking For

- Strong understanding of GL accounts, fixed assets, and customer master data.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or master data management, preferably within SAP environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Nessie, particularly in Controlling modules.
- Proven experience in transitioning process knowledge, conducting training sessions, and creating SOPs.
- Strong understanding of Profit Centers, Cost Centers, and WBS elements in a corporate context.
- Ability to work independently & collaboratively, open-minded and proactive attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential matters
- English at a very good level
