Your Key Responsibilities

Key tasks: ITSM

Availability: ASAP or up to 1 month of notice period

Core tasks to be handled by MS Team (team listed above):

• VDI Infra First level support of requests and Incidents coming from customers (when the root cause is in the VDI IT Infrastructure) (Simple customer requests that require limited IT support)
• VDI Infra Second level support of requests and Incidents coming from customers (when the root cause is in the VDI IT Infrastructure)
• (More in-depth problems)
• Level 3 support tasks in coordination with Roche Infrastructure Teams and/or Vendor Support
• Manage and perform daily operational tasks to maintain the VDI Infra up and running (Storage, Firewall, Networking, VMware vCenter)
• Create Documentation and Wiki articles about new tasks performed (procedures)
• Automation of everyday small repetitive tasks (Powershell Scripting)
• Create and handle requests to Storage, Security, Virtualization teams to maintain and improve the VDI on-prem infra
• Upgrading of VDI on-prem front-end and back-end applications (Horizon Components, WorkSpace ONE)
• Implement features requested by the Business team (File Audit, Copy data to Simulators, Monitoring... )
• Implement a new monitoring layer to detect issues faster and proactively in the VDI Infrastructure (Control UP)
• Automate processes based on alarms triggered from Control UP
• Start to work also in the VDI Cloud on AWS Infra (Configuration, support, maintenance and documentation)
• Implementation of most of the new features requested by the Business team in the future

Infrastructure configuration tasks

• Patching of Windows Servers by Windows Server Update Services (Globally)
• NSX Deployment Production if needed (process already performed in Sandpit and documented)
• Complex Instrument Simulators lifecycle (Terraform, Powershell, Horizon APIs)
• Deployment of new Instrument Simulators (Cloned VMs) in the VDI Cloud on AWS
• Deployment of Instrument Simulators (Cloned VMs) on-prem (EMEA, NALA, SINGAPORE and SHANGHAI)
• Creation, maintenance and support of VMware Horizon Pools and clones
• Handle requests, Incidents and improvements about Instrument Simulator VMs
