Manager - Projects(IT)

We are looking to hire a Manager – Projects (IT) will oversee and deliver complex IT projects from inception to completion for our client based in Dubai - which is the leading semi government organization in the region

The Manager - Projects (IT) is responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader with a strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive project success.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets, and ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
• Lead, motivate, and coordinate project teams to ensure efficient task execution and resolve any issues that arise.
• Coordinate Concept and Detailed Design activities with the Design, Research, and SME departments internally, and with external suppliers when required
• Monitor and control project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Act as the main point of contact for overall project delivery and stakeholder management, offering regular updates on project progress.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid or resolve challenges.
• Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and expectations.
• Conduct project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future projects.
• Oversee Procurement activities in coordination with Supply Management.
• Manage the execution of physical works, coordinating with stakeholders for areas impacted by and returning to operations.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

• 5-7 years of proven experience in IT project management or similar roles, managing medium to large-scale projects.
• Experience with project management softwares and any project management certifications like PMP would be an added advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management/Strategic Planning or any related stream.
• Comprehensive knowledge of business case development, financial reporting, and project scheduling, in accordance with best practices such as PMI and PRINCE2 methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

Availability:

• Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum 30 days after accepting the offer.
