Our partner is an exciting UK based telecommunications startup, providing a platform designed to enable brands, content creators, and businesses to launch their own branded mobile plans. The service focuses on creating recurring revenue streams by allowing organisations to offer customisable mobile data, SMS, and voice plans under their own branding. With their user-friendly, SaaS-based approach, they are aiming to disrupt traditional telecom models and capitalise on the increasing adoption of eSIM technology globally.

About the role:

As a Junior Back-end Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of their partner's platform. You will work closely with the development team to create and maintain backend services using Python and the Django framework. Your contributions will help scale and optimize the platform's ability to deliver customizable mobile plans, APIs, and data management for a variety of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django framework.
• Build and manage robust APIs to support the platform's functionality.
• Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements with the server-side logic.
• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL databases to ensure smooth data operations.
• Participate in the troubleshooting and debugging of issues to ensure platform stability.
• Assist in app maintenance to ensure seamless performance and scalability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of code quality and development processes.
• Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.

Requirement:

• Good experience working with Python and familiarity with Django framework.
• Basic understanding of PostgreSQL database management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) is a plus.
• Experience building and working with APIs is a plus.
• Eagerness to contribute to a rapidly evolving start-up environment.
