DevOps/Linux Systems Administrator/SRE - PERM

Responsibilities

• Process Development: Design, develop, deploy, document, and monitor key processes.
• Server Management: Set up, monitor, and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
• Data Transport Automation: Develop scripts to facilitate file transfers and streamline data processes.
• Toolchain Development: Design, develop, and enhance internal toolchains using Linux packages (primarily Bash scripting).
• Process Optimization: Refactor legacy processes to improve stability and align with evolving data and feature requirements.
• Backup and RDP Procedures: Design, configure, monitor, and maintain backup and remote desktop protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date internal documentation for processes and systems.
• Alert and Issue Management: Monitor, investigate, and resolve or escalate alerts, processing errors, application issues, and other operational problems.
• User Support: Address or escalate user requests related to missing data, feature enhancements, UI inquiries, bugs, and performance challenges.
• Access Management: Manage user access to web interfaces (UI) and APIs.

Required Knowledge and Technical Skills

• Strong Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows server knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency in Bash scripting.
• Experience with tools such as Jenkins, SVN, Confluence, Jira, and Wiki platforms.
• Familiarity with Nessus or other security tools.
• Basic understanding of Java is a plus.

• A degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
