Senior Developer

The Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages objective is to register, protect and certify the identities and life event information of Queenslanders to ensure the stories of our people are preserved and accessible for future generations.

As part of the Corporate Services Branch you will contribute to creating a high performing, customer focused and continually improving workplace, supporting the delivery of the Registrar-General’s strategic vision and purpose.

Technical Skills, Abilities And Cultural Capability

To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Experience in utilizing IT service management and software development processes and framework, supporting, designing, and developing large and complex enterprise systems.
• Proven experience in Java with Spring Framework including spring-boot, webservices with strong JavaScript/JQuery.
• Experience working with RBDMS databases and basic PL/SQL.
• Ability to use appropriate tools, techniques and technologies for application design, development and support that are compliant with the industry best practices.
• Experience in development and deployment of scalable, fit for purpose and secure cloud-based applications preferably in AWS.
• A sound understanding of DevSecOps practices and principles including hands on experience in Maven, CI/CD pipelines configuration and management.
