Full-time Software Engineer

38 hours per week

SALARY RANGE $105,000 - $125,000

DUTIES

  • Assess and evaluate program requirements to effectively meet system and user needs.
  • Detect and address technology limitations or inefficiencies in existing systems and processes.
  • Conduct tests, troubleshoot, and resolve application errors to ensure adherence to quality standards and performance goals.
  • Develop and maintain program code that aligns with technical specifications and recognized standards.
  • Create and update technical documentation, including user manuals and operational procedures.
  • Offer expert guidance on software design strategies, including cost assessments and recommendations for software purchases or upgrades.
  • Manage testing and automation procedures for software and application deployment.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to drive enhancements in system and software performance.
  • Implement strategies for continuous improvement and delivery within system design and software development.
  • Develop and refine tools to support the management, security, and operation of software systems.
  • Perform forensic analysis to detect security threats or system irregularities and ensure stability.
  • Apply encryption and decryption protocols to protect data and maintain application security.
  • Identify potential risks and take actions to mitigate them, ensuring sustained performance and security throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with database management systems like SQL or NoSQL.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously learn in a rapidly evolving field.
  • Prior experience in software development projects, internships, or relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies is advantageous.
  • Commitment to adhering to company policies, including Quality, Information Security, and Risk Management.
