Software Engineer (Data & Tools)

About us:

Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by experienced engineers who want to completely revolutionize air travel within the next decade. We combine computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.

Your role:

Lead the Tooling team in a hands-on way. Apply your understanding of infra, UI and systems interfaces to build applications that will play critical role in certifying first machine learning-based products in aviation. Take the responsibility for all of our software that does not fly: from devops-related tools to teams-specific infrastructure to developing in-house solutions. Experience direct feedback and infinite gratitude of people around you when you make their life so much nicer with a well designed development tool.

You are smart and get things done, and have:

• Experience with big data pipelines and distributed processing
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Applied software engineering skills in Rust
• The insight when to move from the shell script throwaway to the properly written (but not overengineered) server
• Experience with image/video processing (not mandatory but certainly a plus)
