Job Description

Role: .Net Developer

Location: Brussels, Belgium (On site)

Employment Type: Contract 12 Months (possible extension up to 2-3 years)

The Role:

We currently have a vacancy for an .Net Developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Key responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain applications in accordance with specifications and technical best practices and requirements analysis;
• Create process and data models, draw up technical specifications, build prototypes;
• Investigate technical solutions which meet a list of requirements and standards;
• Develop unit and integration test suites, plans and programs;
• Define and integrate technological components or applications and produce technical and user documentation;
• Assist business users of the system and deployment and configuration of the system;
• Take part in application support by investigating issues (3rd level support etc.)

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience in server and client-based libraries and technologies relating to .Net JavaScript, Oracle DB, scripting languages, servlet containers etc;
• Experience in application development in .Net;
• Experience with UML or case tools and relational databases;
• Knowledge of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility;
• Knowledge of REST and working with APIs, developing APIs and Kubernetes;
• Knowledge of issue-tracking and ticketing tools, application integration and database management system;
• Experience with AGILE, Scrum or DevOps would be considered an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language.
