Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a freelance Network Engineer to join our team and help drive our network resiliency and security to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a globally available datacenter network environment with zero downtime as the goal.
• Manage and execute projects to improve network resiliency and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a production environment, ensuring non to minimal downtime.
• Design and implement new and existing telecommunication solutions.
• Build and maintain a lab/test environment that closely mirrors production environments.
• Resolve issues involving adjacent network devices, such as servers, firewalls, application firewalls, and load balancers.

Required Experience & Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with LAN, WLAN, and WAN networks.
• Extensive knowledge of:
• Network protocols
• Routing protocols
• L2/L3 network architecture
• Cisco infrastructure (including ACI and DNAC environments)
• Experience with Checkpoint and/or Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows servers on the network.
• CISCO certifications: CCNA/CCNP.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Cisco CCIE or Checkpoint/Palo Alto CCSE certification.
• Advanced knowledge of network security and system/application security.
• Expert-level experience with Checkpoint/Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing secure network architectures.

Language Requirements

• English: Fluent verbal and written communication.
• Dutch: Fluent verbal communication.
