Sr. Back-end Engineer (Full Remote)

The Company

EXADS is a young international startup specialising in the ad tech industry. Your responsibilities:

• Develop modular, testable and scalable software components for core platform and web services / APIs
• Optimise code for performance and scalability;
• Maintain and refactor legacy systems;
• Research and develop new and emerging technologies;
• Contribute to team process improvements, adhering to industry best practices and principles;
• Participate in regular code reviews and team knowledge sharing activities.

You have:

• 2+ years object-oriented PHP 7+ development experience;
• Capable of building server-side and client-side applications with PHP, Javascript, HTML;
• Good knowledge about design patterns, security and performance concepts;
• Solid foundation in SQL databases and design, specifically MariaDB;
• Good understanding of RESTful architecture;
• Good understanding of caching tools and techniques;
• Good written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills (English).

Considered a plus:

• Development experience with caching tools and techniques (APC, Memcached);
• Development experience with Golang development;
• Knowledge of Git / Github and related workflows in a distributed team environment.

Location

Even though you are welcome to work from our office in Dublin, this position can be fulfilled from anywhere in Ireland.

Education & Qualifications:

Qualifications in Computer Science / related technical discipline OR equivalent experience
