Join our IT TEAM and bring your expertise to shape world-class digital solutions. We are seeking a motivated Backend Developer with a strong command of Python and Django to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of professional experience in backend development, with a proven record of designing and maintaining scalable backend systems.

As a Rhino, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in backend development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a back-end developer, specifically in Python;
• Experience with Django and Django Rest Framework (API);
• Knowledge of Django ORM;
• Experience with Docker;
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins);
• Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB);
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs;
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese (at least B2 level);
• Available to work remotely (based in Porto or northern Portugal).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of AI tools or technologies (OpenAI Service, Airflow, Mlflow);
• Experience with React.js (Next.js);
• Experience with file-oriented database (Delta Table - Delta Lake / Apache Iceberg);
• Experience with unit/integration tests.
