Job Title: IT Security Automation & Support Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive IT Security Automation & Support Specialist to join our team. This role is key to minimizing manual efforts through process automation, improving internal security posture, and supporting the technical evaluation of projects and security initiatives. You will work closely with various teams to monitor and improve KPIs, assist in incident response, and maintain our vulnerability management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Task Automation & Process Improvement
- Automate routine tasks to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Assist in the design and implementation of processes that minimize workload and streamline operations.
Security Monitoring & Support
- Identify potential IT security issues and recommend solutions to mitigate risks.
- Support technical evaluations of changes, projects, and security initiatives by gathering relevant information and providing insights.
- Act as a point of contact for security discussions related to application development, infrastructure, architecture, and network/API management.
Collaboration & KPI Tracking
- Work with cross-functional teams to monitor and improve KPIs, ensuring progress tracking and follow-up on key actions.
Incident Response & Escalation
- Assess and respond to lower-complexity security incidents, escalating to senior security team members when necessary.
Security Solution Support
- Assist the security team in defining new solutions and evaluating proposals with potential security impacts, ensuring compliance with security requirements.
- Support the review and prioritization of findings from vulnerability assessments, pentests, and audits.
Vulnerability Management
- Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of our vulnerability management solution.
- Assist in issue resolution, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure comprehensive vulnerability coverage.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
- Solid understanding of IT Security technologies, including but not limited to WAF, SIEM, AV, DLP, EDR, and web content filtering.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to handle multiple requests under tight deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with an outsourced SOC or similar external services.
- Ability to use specialized security tools effectively, even without in-depth expertise, and retrieve necessary data for complex tasks.
- Basic familiarity with user lifecycle security (e.g., SAP, Active Directory).
Nice-to-Have:
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
- Foundational knowledge in areas such as network security, application security, cloud security, infrastructure, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
