Network Engineer (Financial Services)

We are recruiting for a global leader in payment processing and fintech innovation. This is an opportunity to join a team at the forefront of developing and maintaining cutting-edge systems that power secure, scalable, and seamless transactions worldwide.

As a Delivery Network Engineer, you'll manage and optimize complex network systems essential to global fintech operations. Your work will involve upgrading systems, deploying network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers), and ensuring security and reliability across the infrastructure. You’ll oversee end-to-end network operations, design security frameworks, and prioritize network stability and protection.

Key Role Details:

• Global Team Collaboration: The role is part of a worldwide team that includes multiple engineers based in RO&UK.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Close collaboration with architects is required for solution implementation and optimization.
• Hybrid Environment: The infrastructure includes a mix of traditional data centers and cloud initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design: Account for 90% of the role, focusing on solution design & implementation support
• Collaboration: Work directly with architects to implement and optimize solutions.
• Management: Handle data center, network, and security-related tasks.

Required Technologies and Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Juniper, Cisco, Firewalls, BGP, and MPLS.
• Provide Level 3 support to resolve complex incidents.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN is a plus, though its implementation is nearing completion.

Experience:

• at least 5 years in the networking field, with an emphasis on complex design and solutions.
