About your role

As an AI Technical Writer Specialist, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between product development and end-user understanding. This position is perfect for an AI enthusiast who is passionate about technical writing and eager to enhance the flow of information through AI. You will be responsible for writing, automating, and improving how information is communicated from product owners to end users, ensuring clarity and accessibility. This hybrid role involves exploring uncharted territory as we expect you to integrate AI into the technical writing process. We want you to revolutionize technical writing, transforming the role of the technical writer from a creator to a curator of technical documentation.

As the AI Technical Writer Specialist, you:

• Master Complexity with Clarity: You have a talent for diving deep into complex fiscal information, unraveling it, and producing clear, user-friendly manuals and guides that help users understand technical and regulatory details effortlessly.
• Bridge the Gap between Experts and Novices: You can empathize with users who are unfamiliar with the certain subjects and guide them from basic understanding to mastery, while also effectively communicating with developers and technical experts to ensure accurate content.
• Collaborate: You’ll work closely with product owners, developers, and UX/UI designers to gather insights and translate technical specifications into clear, concise, and engaging content for end users via use of AI.
• Perform User Education: You’ll design and develop educational materials, tutorials, and FAQs to help users understand and effectively utilize AI. Create, organize, and maintain comprehensive documentation and user guides using AI models, ensuring they are user-friendly and easy to understand.
• Automate Information Flow: Develop and implement strategies to automate the dissemination of product information, leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Translate Technical Jargon into User-Friendly Content: You excel at taking highly technical content or tasks (such as development stories) and converting them into clear, concise documentation that’s easy for anyone to grasp. You’ll shape and evolve the content strategy via AI tools, ensuring it aligns with company goals and user needs.
• Update Release Notes: Take ownership of updating release notes with a focus on compliance-related changes, enhancements, and additions, ensuring users are informed of important updates in a clear and concise manner.
• Strengthen Our Digital Presence: Grow NewBlack’s LinkedIn and social channels with engaging content on updates, market rollouts, and regulatory compliance.

We are specifically looking for a Nerd that already has the following skills:

• Technical Expertise: You have a strong technical aptitude and can effectively translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content that’s easily understood by both developers and non-technical users. Possess knowledge about creating technical documentation, user guides, and manuals.
• AI passion & knowledge : You are passionate about AI and its applications & with latest trends and advancements in AI. You have some knowledge in developing, training, and deploying AI models.
• Passion for Retail and Technology: You are genuinely passionate about the retail industry and technology, and stay informed about trends and developments that impact both sectors.
• Educational Background in Writing or Communication: You might have a degree in Journalism, Communication, Technical Writing, or a related field that has equipped you with strong writing and communication skills.
• Fluent in English: You possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clarity and precision in all your documentation and content.
• You are: Self-learner, proactive, independent, detail oriented & possess excellent multitasking skills.
